As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, where friendly servers enhance the experience with their attentive service. Let's talk food! The menu showcases a delightful array of options, but the standout stars are undoubtedly the pizzas. Each one is crafted with top-notch ingredients, from the classic Margherita pizza boasting fresh basil and rich mozzarella to the indulgent Tartufo Nero, featuring truffle ricotta and savory mushrooms. Just ask any local, and they'll rave about the mushroom ravioli—a recurring favorite that leaves patrons coming back for more.
And let’s not overlook the appetizers that pair well with each bite. The garlic knots alone are worthy of national recognition, and the Pecorino cauliflower is a must-try, offering a delightful crunch with every forkful. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing House Salad or a heartier Chopped Salad, every dish bursts with freshness and flavor—a testament to the quality and creativity found here.
What truly sets Battle Hill Tavern apart is its vibrant community ambiance. It's a place where families meet, friends gather, and, of course, your four-legged companions are welcome on the outdoor patio. With a penchant for sports—especially on Sunday afternoons—it buzzes with an electric energy that makes a visit feel special.
In a world where dining can often feel impersonal, Battle Hill Tavern embraces the spirit of neighborly hospitality. Their commitment to delicious food at reasonable prices has quickly earned them a loyal following. As one happy diner aptly put it, “What a pleasant surprise!” Experience what Brooklyn dining should be at Battle Hill Tavern—where every meal is crafted with care and every customer is treated like family.
“ Delicious food with reasonable prices. Server was friendly and excellent at communicating with us. it’s a very neighborhood friendly place and I highly recommend it! ”
“ Battle Hill is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. While their pizzas are great, it's the rest of their menu that is special for me, especially their pastas and the mushroom ravioli which we order every time. Great cocktails, super friendly servers and a more unique atmosphere than some of the other restaurants in the area, Battle Hill is really a special little place. ”
“ Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Chill vibes, friendly and attentive service, great food at a great value (especially for the area). The garlic knots should be entered in a national competition IMO. Also love the pecorino cauliflower, the gigantic salads, and all the pizzas. Oh and the cast iron cookie for dessert. FYI they often have sports playing with sound on (especially football on Sundays) if that bothers you. ”
“ A great neighborhood spot for people with dogs as there is outdoor seating. Service is crazy quick. Pizzas are really good. Salads are big and fresh. Plus 4 high life, can't beat it. Can be pretty crowded with families w/ small children if that's not your thing. ”
“ What a pleasant surprise! I had the wonderful opportunity to be recommended to try this place and what a lovely day that was. I was told the Mac and cheese was amazing and it did not disappoint! I really enjoyed everything that we ordered which was the mac and cheese a few pizzas the garlic knots and the mushroom ravioli which was absolutely my favorite. Everything was seasoned really well and cooked to perfection. The chef deserves nothing but the best and all of their wishes granted because DAMN! I did not expect to have such a lovely meal in a bar. I can't recommend this place enough. ”
“ First time and definitely won’t be my last. I loved everything about the place, the ambiance is so chill, food is fresh and delicious (chef’s kiss), and drinks were good. We had the fig pizza and sausage pizza. I only tried the fig and it was sweet and salty, perfect balance. We even got dessert on the house from the chef which was so sweet of him and it was amazing. I thought I was full but the baked chocolate chip with ice cream was yummy. Definitely was a great end to the evening. The bartender’s music playlist is also add a great vibe and she’s awesome as well. The staff as a whole was great. Can’t wait to be back. ”
“ Everything we have gotten from this location has been extremely delicious. This lovely restaurant has actually become 'our spot' when we need some delicious comfort food and drinks. The staff is also quite wonderful. ”
“ Excellent pie. The staff was great and super helpful. It was great to enjoy pizza and a beer outside and head back inside after to watch some football. Great spot! Pizza Adventures: Destination #137 ”
